How Long does it take to make a game

Hello guys I was wondering how long does it take to make an iphone game. I heard ranges from 2-6 months depending how complex the game would be. I am longing at iphone developer tools now trying to decide.

Who the fucking hell told you that lie?#(*! Na it only takes 2-5 days for a simple game and 10-15 days for a deep role playing game like final fantasy. Its fucking incredible how developers lie just to make themselves feel important. The fucking tools they use to make games does most of the work for them , all they really have to do is add graphics and put maybe 30-50 lines of code and the damn game is finished. I could probaly make a game like resident evil in a fucking day. Dont listen to lying ass developers , they can lick my sweaty balls.

Hahaha 30-50 lines of code thats all. I could probaly make a game in an hour myself. Thanks for telling us the real deal 808;s , these guys expect money when most of the work is done by tools. I used to believe thier lies , but I respect your word. Your probaly the most truthful guy here. Anyone can download the tools and make games. These developers are even lucky that we even b uy thier games for 99 cents. All the games in the appstore should be for free , now that I know developers are just half-assing it and the tools to all the work.

I downloaded the iphone developer tools myself and within 5-10 minutes I made an angry birds clone type game. To add extra levels all I did was press the extra level maker tool in xcode and it made the levels for me. I made a full angry birds clone in 1 hour with 100 levels. The tools did most of the work , I just mainly supplied the graphics. These iphone developers are the biggest liars in the games industry and they want respect. Do a console game which take real coding , not iphone tools which do all the work while you just supply graphics.

Well Iam the developer of doodle jump. In all honestly it took 3 days to make the game and only 1 day for every update.
With updates the total time it took to make the complete package is around a week or so with 1 hour a day. I really didnt spend too much effort in graphics , I just drew anything and stuck it in there. Iam surprised the game took off as I thought it was a stupid game to begin with. I guess people like stupid games and that made me a millionare.

Your wrong. Simply put you are not the devs of any games and that is obvious. iphone games can take days to months to make but good quality ones are usually in the months range.

Yeah honestly I have no expereince making games. I downloaded xcode just to try it out cause developers said it was hard. In one day I made a game from start to finish. I love fighting games so I took some graphics from streetfighter and in one day I made streetfighter alphaX3.. In a week I made like 20 games and some of them were console quality. If I wanted to I could be a millionare but I feel like its unskilled labor and I want no part of it. Dont buy games make your own games it easy. In Xcode there is a button that takes voice commands so like if I want to shoot fireball's from ryu I just say shoot fireballs and the xcode types the code in for me. Xcode does all the work you just press voice command button and it type code in based on what you say.
